This season, longer is better. This velvet dévoré dress grazes the floor with sumptuous textures and colors. The easy A-line with bell sleeves creates a silhouette that harks back to the glamorous extravagance of style celebrity Diana Vreeland, a champion of pattern and color.
This fabulous fabric is a super-soft etched velvet that has been printed with allover flowers in abstract geometric shapes with stylized stems. Although sheer and breezy, the dress is fully lined in stretch satin chiffon.
The bell elbow sleeves are inset with ladder-stitch ribbon appliqués. The satin obi belt has wrap-around cords that end in ginkgo-leaf tassels. Silk satin charmeuse is used to bind the notched neck, faux front placket, and sleeves.
