Each Fabric of Hope™ scarf sale contributes $133.50 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation**
Our exclusive, exquisitely crafted, Italian silk carré scarf is this year’s star in the Fabric of Hope™ charity — a beautiful reminder of our dedication to finding a cure for breast cancer. Wearing this scarf speaks volumes about your elevated fashion sensibility and your compassion for those going through the journey of this disease, still the leading women’s health threat. 75% of the proceeds from each scarf sale will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the premier foundation of its kind, rated with four stars for the past thirteen years by charitynavigator.org.
Paisley and lotus motifs enrich our must-have fall scarf. This imported silk style features Persian paisley, representing a stylized floral spray, the symbol of life and eternity. The blue lotus flowers are symbols for the victory of the spirit over the senses. Both are appropriate motifs for a scarf that funds our Fabric of Hope™ breast cancer charity in conjunction with NBCF. All proceeds go to this charity.
There is no fashion accessory more iconic than the scarf, a polished way to focus your look and express your personal passions. The fabric of hope logo tag that comes with the scarf will identify you as a contributor to the cause.
This year’s limited edition is an exclusive Carlisle design by renowned accessory artist Robert Brisley. Robert described his inspiration as a precious Dutch baroque tulip—the Semper Augustus.
"Of all tulip varieties, it was this variegated flower that most bewitched the Dutch in the 17th century. The dramatic flamelike red against a white ground was seen as a miracle at the time. That’s why people paid as much for a mansion as they did for just for one Semper Augustus bulb. I liked the miracle aspect in the context of cancer research, as well as the eternal flame aspect of my three tulips as a reminder of our unending commitment to this common goal."
Scarves are the most creative accessory, because of the many ways you can wear them — as a shawl, a bow for your handbag, covering the head, tied at the neck in countless ways, even as a sash belt.
