Tell us about your clients and the people you work with at Carlisle.

Professional women and full-time mothers comprise most of my clientele. They all really love the ease of the process. One client just said to me, "How easy is this that in ninety minutes I've got all of my clothes for the season, accessorized from head to toe?"

My clients appreciate the incredible customer service. I'll go out and find them shoes and hose to wear with what they've bought from me. I'll meet them at the tailors, I'll do closet audits, I'll put their outfits together, I'll help them pack for a trip, I'll give them fashion advice. And they love that I'm honest with them. I tell them, tactfully, when something doesn't look good on them.

My experience with Carlisle has been absolutely fantastic. No one stays with a company for as long as I have (12 years) unless that's true. I love working for a company that gives such varied opportunities to women, empowers women to feel great about themselves, and affords them the ability to run their own businesses. I work with wonderful women, and I've been lucky to have made such great friends here. I've been approached by other competitors, but I've stayed with Carlisle because I feel our fabrications, designs, and the quality of people that work for Carlisle are among the best in the direct selling marketplace.

In what important ways has being a Carlisle Consultant affected your life?

It has given me the ability to experience the success of running a small business and the self-worth and financial rewards associated with having your own business. I have met women I wouldn't have otherwise gotten to know, women who seek my advice and fashion expertise on clothing suitable for sailing down the river Nile or on Lake Michigan, or for spending the millennium in Paris or at home with friends in Chicago. It is very rewarding, and very fun, to be a part of these women's busy and interesting lives.

It's a fantastic opportunity for women. I highly recommend it, especially for women with children. It's a hard business. It's a constant process of searching for new clients if you want to be successful. But if you love clothes, if you love fashion, if you love working with women, it's the perfect fit.
