In what important ways has being a Carlisle Consultant affected your life? Being a Consultant has given me countless gifts over the past eight years. I've met wonderful women who've become lifelong friends. It's helped me grow as a wife, as a mother, as a business owner. There's a tremendous feeling of accomplishment that comes with the job. People tell me that they admire and respect the work that I do, the service that I provide for them, and hearing that really gives you a feeling of self worth. At Carlisle, my relationships with my peers have been totally invaluable. I never had a sister—I grew up with three brothers—and I now feel like I have so many sisters. It's absolutely awesome. Carlisle Consultants are famous for client service, no matter what the client's situation. What was an example of a particularly unusual or interesting situation involving a client? A daughter of a very loyal client was an intern at a local hospital. She'd been chosen to make a presentation to a group of senior oncologists in Washington D.C. She called and said, "You always make my mom look so good, but I'm not her size so I can't borrow her clothes. I don't have the money yet to buy Carlisle, but I will someday. Could you come shopping with me and help me pick outfits for my trip?" I told her, I can absolutely help you, but I don't want you wearing anything but Carlisle. Because I know when you get up in front of that audience wearing Carlisle, you're going to look fantastic, you're going to feel great about yourself, and that confidence will come across in your presentation. And you know what? You are my size, so you're going to wear my clothes. So I opened up my closet and set her up with an outfit for her presentation, another for a cocktail party, and a third for a casual outing. I even gave her some of my shoes and jewelry to wear, then sent her on her way. Well, after she returned she called to thank me, crying. "Everything you said was absolutely true. I knew I looked great, and I felt so confident and comfortable." It was gratifying to be able to do that for her.
