Once women began to hear that the Carlisle Showroom would be hosting a private book talk with Alexandra Lebenthal, President and CEO of Lebenthal & Co., speaking about her latest book, The Recessionistas, the phone started to ring off the hook. Soon, a waiting list was created and the lucky 30 women who received a reservation were thrilled!

Marie-Noel Bastien, Director at Citigroup, Karen Klopp, founder of What2WearWhere.com and Frances Shultz, freelance writer and Special Projects Consultant for the Collections, welcomed the group who represented some of the most prominent financial institutions in the city.
This week Connecticut Cottages & Garden's Magazine partnered with Carlisle's Greenwich Showroom Director, Lisa Fleming and showroom stylists, Anne Friday, Kathy Brakenridge and Angela Smith to host a benefit luncheon and fashion show for the Red Cross of Greenwich. Six Red Cross Board members each modeled three favorite looks from the Carlisle and Per Se collections: one daytime "casual," one daytime event or luncheon, and one evening. Carlisle's Director of Merchandising, Luann Sampson, flew in for the event and did an amazing job narrating the reasons behind the must have looks for the season and how to achieve these looks with smart wardrobing.
Recently, at the Carlisle Showroom in Greenwich Connecticut, Cristin Marandino, editor of Greenwich magazine, hosted an event and fashion show called "How to Transition Your Wardrobe From Spring to Summer." Cocktails and hors' d'ouevres were served as Cristin and her Fashion Editor, Carisha Swansonjoined with Carlisle's Director of Merchandising, LuAnn Sampson to walk guests through the must-have additions for their Summer Wardrobes.

When it comes to having time to shop and shop well, preschool moms may be short on time, but not on fashion. The key to making it fun, social and smart is to make the night count and so it did. In early March, a group of stylish preschool mothers joined forces for an evening of fashion at the Carlisle Showroom to benefit the bottom-line at schools they care about. It was an evening of personalized wardrobing, a professional photo shoot, champagne and active shopping with 25% of all purchases going to benefit the school of each mother's choice.
