Caroline Bowen

President, The Connaught Group

Caroline oversees and manages day-to-day operations at Connaught. In this role, she mines her wealth of industry knowledge, hands-on field experience and her razor-sharp business acumen to grow the business. On a daily basis, she oversees the management teams in the field who are actively growing the Carlisle, Per Se and Etcetera collections.

Her career has covered every facet of The Connaught Group's marketing, field operations, and management divisions. Beginning as a Carlisle Consultant in 1982, her sales ranked in the top ten nationally for fifteen years. During that period, she also helped make merchandising decisions as a member of Carlisle's editing board, developed numerous sales and marketing materials and served as a lecturer at Carlisle's Training Institute.

"I started my career with Connaught twenty-six years ago as a Wardrobe Consultant. I did so because I wanted to help busy women have superior, customized wardrobe guidance combined with access to beautiful clothing. Today, I speak with our Wardrobe Consultants and their managers on a daily basis. This gives me a true sense of the variety of ways in which women benefit from shopping with us," says Caroline. "We continue to evolve with fresh ideas and a commitment to quality every step of the way. I tell women who join the company that there are no glass ceilings here and I'm a perfect example of that. The expansion of the Per Se line demonstrates our ability to stay ahead of the curve in meeting client demands while simultaneously creating new opportunities for our Consultants."

Caroline's management career includes seven years as a district manager, two years as director of Carlisle's Master Consultant Program and five years as the president of Etcetera, an affiliated company. In 2004, she accepted her current role as President of both Carlisle and the Connaught Group. In 2005, she helped launch Per Se and continues to be actively involved in the line's development and expansion.

She attended Converse College and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
